ABOUT
Sparrowbuck.Design was started as a way to spread my wings while going back to my roots. It combines my background in fine art(BFA NSCAD, 2003), with my family's maritime heritage. Making solid, useful crafts and tools has been a part of my life and my family's life for generations.
I enjoy designing things that echo the beauty that lives in every corner of my home province, whether it is cheerful, subdued, bleak, or whimsical.
Me personally?
Basically I'm a professional artist currently residing in Nova Scotia, Canada. I hold a BFA with a Major in Fine Art, Minor in Drawing from NSCAD University. I also explored various other disciplines including sculpture(plaster, stone, cast metals, plastics, rubber and assemblage), performance art, design, painting, metalworking, photography, 8+16mm film, bookbinding, illustration, jewellery, environmental planning and a bit of computer-related studies(a lot, right? If you can take the time to learn something, do it, I say). Right now I do custom drawing and small cosplay commissions, as well as the rug hooking and woodwork, and have recently added learning pottery(pandemic layoff? Time to learn).
